Mello acres is the place to be
Farm living is the life for me

Jacqueline Elizabeth Standing

Note from Lily's mom - We had a friend pass away on Friday. Words can't express...
Being the state president of the UDSF I see way too many individuals pass away, but when I personally know them and have held them in my arms...
Since Lily found out she has talked about Jacqui being in Heaven with her dog Waldo. She just wants her dad to bring them back now.

We went to a building. Mom filled out a paper. They called my name, took my picture, and gave me a piece of paper. I had to read the paper. You go up on the stage and walk on it. They took my pictures. They asked if I was nervous I said no. I don't want to ride on an elephant! I had fun. That's it.

Note from Lily's mom - We went to open call at W Talent tonight. Lily walked the catwalk and did very well! When it came time for her to say her part she was not very interested anymore. She was suppose to say I'm going to Disneyworld this summer, but before I do anything I have to talk to Mickey. Sure, I want to ride Dumbo, but first I have to talk to the mouse. After coaxing her a little bit she got out the first part, but...she really doesn't want to ride Dumbo and she told them that! She then went back to walking the catwalk showing off just a touch for those waiting. At least for a minute they were distracted and laughing.

One of the directors, Abe Taylor, of The Jerk Theory said they were close to finishing the film. If I see Josh again I am going to take a picture and give him a hug. I will be excited to see my movie.
That's it.

Note from Lily's mom - Lily still does not realize that she will actually be in a movie. She just liked going and doing her part!

Arantxa and me!
I skipped school today. I told my dad I had stinky feet! My mom and I went up to the hospital to see Parker from Praying for Parker and my friend Arantxa. Arantxa is in my class. Arantxa got her tonsils and adenoids out. Arantxa was doing good. She is cute, she's nice. I'm going to play with her when she gets better.

Parker hadn't been seen the doctor yet. Parker loves his dad. He is little, he is cute.
I gave them both books that my mom bought from Raising Joey. We have a book for Rhett too.
That's it.

Note from Lily's mom - We ran up to PCMC this morning to check on all our friends. Arantxa was doing amazingly well! She was up and running around with Lily, it was great. When we finally found Parker his surgery had been set back for 2 hours! When we left them at about 11:30 they still hadn't gone into surgery yet. There was not a room for him in the PICU. He was holding up pretty well, but was signing "eat" alot to his dad. He liked the book we gave him. It was one of those touchy-feely books. I had never met the Hodson's in person, not the best way to meet them, but I'm glad I'm close enough to PCMC to run up when I know kids are up there. Parker is every bit as cute as his pictures!

Ms. Catten's Health Class

Mom and me went to Tim's (Health) class today. We talked about Down syndrome. I showed them my scars! Mom had them stand on one foot and hold their tongues while they said the ABC's, so they could understand kind of what it was like to have low muscle tone and a small mouth cavity. We talked about my birth mom being only 17 when she got pregnant. We talked about the R word too, mom told them all about People First language. That's it

Here comes the sun...

Mama exhorted her children at every opportunity to 'jump at the sun.'
We might not land on the sun, but at least we would get off the ground.

Yesterday was Mother's Day. Mother's Day is a day to play ball. I gave my mom a gift cause I love her. I love her cause she's my best mama. We ate dinner, we have steaks, baked potatoes, it was hot! Cheesecake was not my favorite, I don't like it.

I made dots different colors on a frame with paper inside for my mom. I made it in my classroom. I made soap for my grandmas over there (pointing to the kitchen). I made owl soap for Grandma Smith. Butterflies for Grandma Shirley. GrandMary got fish. We made the soap in the microwave, we stirred it, we stirred it again it's not melting yet. We put blue color in it and put it in a pan. We waited 10 minutes (20 minutes) We put cookie cutters in the soap. It was fun.

There's nothin else - so that's it.

Note from Lily's mom - Lily painted dots on a frame at school and put a poem inside it reads:

I Love You Mom!

Mom's smiles can brighten any moment.
Mom's hugs put joy in all our days.
Mom's love will stay with us forever
and touch our lives in precious ways...

The values you've taught,
the care you given,
and the wonderful love you've shown,
have enriched my life
in more ways than I can count.

I Love you Mom!

Note from Lily's mom - "Act Naturally" is one of Lily's favorite songs. She likes any Beatles song and has gone through several CD's already. One day while driving, this song came on and with her moviestar sunglasses on she threw her arms up in the air and said "MOM, I'M A MOVIESTAR! JUST LOOK AT ME!"

Note from Lily's mom - Lily and I were in the grocery store today; Saturday is a terrible day to shop! There was a man looking at the raisins or prunes, wouldn't tell which one exactly, but he was blocking the aisle. Cart on one side, him bent over at the waist taking the entire other side of the aisle. So, I waited. I was in no hurry, Lily was. She started making noises, nothing rude luckily! He realized what was happening, moved, and apologized. As we were going past Lily very loudly said "No problem Grandpa!" I pushed forward and never looked back!

I don't feel good. My throat hurts and I have a cough. I am going to stay home and do nothing. I'm gonna turn on the TV and watch!

Note from Lily's mom - Lily now has what I have had for the last week or so! We are doing nothing today but cuddling!

The pig

Brynn, Grizzly Adams, the pig, and me

Feeding the pig

Last year at the Golf Tournament

Yesterday I took a pig to school! It was a real pig. He was 3 days old. I took him for show and tell cause we watched the movie Charlotte's Web. Kenyan lets me borrow the pigs from his barn. The mommy pig was happy to see her baby come back. I love the pig.

Today I went to a meeting with my mom. We met with Mark Whetzel. The meeting was at the golf place. We talked to him about the golf tournament. I gave Mark a hug. I love Mark, he's going to marry me! He gave me candy!

That's it!

Note from Lily's mom - When Lily was in kindergarten she gave a report on a pig, so I arranged to get a live pig. Kenyan who is Jeff's concrete sub and owns a small farm down in Springville where he raises pigs, cattle, and exotic birds. Now whenever Lily's class watches or reads from Charlotte's Web I arrange for a pig. The kids gets so attached, it a lot of fun!

As for Mark, he is the Director of Operations and golf pro at Thanksgiving Point Golf Course. For the last four years the UDSF has had their "Down the Fairway" Golf Tournament at Thanksgiving Point. Mark is a sweetheart with Lily and Thanksgiving Point is a beautiful place to have a tournament, they are great to work with! They make it easy for me!!!
